Hi there,
I’m Ryan, a Computer Science Student at Carnegie Mellon University
Work that I’m passionate about
Hand Gesture and Voice Controlled Planner
Developed a real-time, hands-free productivity dashboard featuring a projected React interface for managing interactive calendars and checklists. Implemented a multimodal input system in Python, utilizing MediaPipe for gesture control (navigation, selection) and a voice-powered chatbot built with Google Cloud Speech-to-Text and Gemini APIs for a fluid, low-latency user experience.
Sketch Walkthrough
Developed a hybrid AI pipeline to convert rasterized floor plans into walkable 3D environments in Unity to support early design ideation. Built a computer vision module (Python/OpenCV) that extracts wall geometry, while a generative AI creates and applies architectural textures based on text prompts.
Sankofa Greenhouse Digital Twin
Built a simulation-driven greenhouse planning dashboard in Streamlit using OpenWeather API, enabling real-time environmental forecasting and crop-specific recommendations. Integrated a digital twin model to simulate indoor temperature behavior and optimize heating and ventilation actions based on weather forecasts and plant needs.
CMU Maps
Navigating the demands of Carnegie Mellon can be overwhelming, with students often feeling the pressure of intense competition and tight schedules, leading to burnout, losing track of time, and missing opportunities to connect. CMU Maps was created to help fix that: a simple, accessible campus navigation app that syncs with your course schedule and extracurriculars to make getting around easier and your day feel more manageable.
